Kips Bay Palm Beach

We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the Kips Bay Showhouse this year in sunny Palm Beach Florida. When we were assigned the outdoor balcony, we immediately knew we wanted to create an actual room that could function more as an interior space. Our clients always want their outdoor spaces to serve many scenarios, not just soaking up the sun. With the balcony’s spectacular view of Florida's Intracoastal waterway, who wouldn’t want to have a flexible space for a leisurely breakfast, an afternoon nap, a private supper or to enjoy the view with friends over for cocktails. We love to use color and pattern to create warmth and texture, so we started the room with ‘Miramar’, an amazing fabric from Raoul Textiles. The color and pattern evoke the sea but isn't too obvious. By including antiques and collected pieces we gave the room character—a 'trend' that is always timeless!
